UQU Vice President, Prof. Farid bin Ali Al-Ghamdi, expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, and to His Highness the Crown Prince, may Allah safeguard them, for their great attention paid to education, both general and university education, besides their generous care and constant encouragement and motivation to the employees in this sector.
UQU Vice President, Prof. Farid Al-Ghamdi, affirmed that the approval of the esteemed Council of Ministers, in its session that was held under the presidency of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, may Allah support him, on the amendment of the article related to the end-of-service gratuity for those academic staff who completed 20 years of service in the Saudi universities, along with the exceptional cases also included in the resolution, is considered an indication of the keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, may Allah grant them success, and their wise government on paying attention to knowledge as well as giving care and encouraging the employees in this field, in particular university education.
Prof. Farid Al-Ghamdi, said, “The amendment of this article will be a significant motive and a strong push for the academic staff (males and females) in the Saudi universities, at the top of which is Umm Al-Qura University, to undertake their academic, educational and research roles in serving their homeland and society.” In addition, he expressed his thanks and appreciation to the His Excellency the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud, His Highness the Crown Prince and to their wise government for this support and generous care given to education, both general and university education, as well as the employees in this sector. This is in addition to expressing thanks to the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad bin Muhammad Al Al-Sheikh, for his follow-up, support and direct attention paid to the university education in our good and prosperous homeland.
