On behalf of His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, the UQU Vice President, Prof. Farid Al-Ghamdi, handed out the university's cup to the owner of the horse "Inverness", Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, within the horse racing season of the summer of the year 1441 A.H., in King Khalid square in Al Hawiyah, Taif. The ceremony was attended by the General Director of the Horse Racing Club, Mr. Adil Al-Mazru.
In this regard, Prof. Farid Al-Ghamdi congratulated the owners of the winning horse of the UQU's cup, underscoring that this annual award comes within the keenness of the university to support horse racing. He added that the university is looking forward to exerting more effort to participate effectively in enriching the Saudi sports movement, in a manner compatible with the aspirations of the wise leadership, may Allah protect them.
On his part, Mr. Adil Al-Mazru praised the role of the UQU and its annual participation and offering of the UQU cup for one of the horse racing rounds organized by the club. He renewed his support to strengthen the cooperation and partnership with the university in such a manner which contributes to boosting the horse racing momentum.
