Umm Al-Qura University formulated an academic roadmap for more than 18,000 new students for the academic year 1442 A.H. within the virtual "Future Leaders" forum. The forum was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs over a period of 3 days, on 12–14 of this month, Muharram, under the auspices of His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail.

During the forum, 25 academic and administrative bodies and more than 50 student clubs showcased the various services and programs provided to the UQU students at the educational and knowledge levels. The supporting entities also edified the new students on their communication channels and carried out their roles, in cooperation with each other, to serve the UQU students in general and the new students in particular during their university journey.

On his part, His Excellency the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Omar Sunbul, stated that the deanship launched the "Future Leaders" application, which achieved more than 16,000 download requests during the three-day forum, and issued a Guide providing all the information and services offered specifically to the UQU students. His Excellency confirmed the effectiveness of such efforts in preparing the new students to start a new academic phase and join the academic community of the UQU, fostering positive interaction among themselves.

The forum recorded 15,825 interactions and the technical support team provided its services to 10,815 users with regard to the programs provided to the UQU students. The students visited the academic corners of the colleges and learned about the support services in their direct and specific electronic meetings. They presented their inquiries to the representatives of the entities concerned with their service, who answered their questions and provided the necessary information that enables the students to identify their rights and duties during their educational journey at the university.
