At the directives of His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, to achieve a safe return to campus, and under the follow-up of His Excellency the Dean of the College, Prof. Omar bin Abdullah Al-Hazzazi, and the supervision of Her Excellency the Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Sharifa Eesa Al-Hazmi, all preparations were made by the vice dean to achieve an earnest start and full readiness for the beginning of a new and productive academic year. This was performed by preparing the college campus and fulfilling all work requirements to address the emerging events related to the COVID-19 pandemic before the safe return of the female employees to campus. The preparations also involved reviewing the safety procedures, in accordance with the instructions and directives of Umm Al-Qura University, and adhering to the work plan for the safe physical return of the employees to their work headquarters.

The plan for the safe return to campus is in line with the applicable regulations and the preventive protocols, and includes the implementation of the team-based rotation system and flexible hour arrangements, according to the executive bylaws of the Human Resources and Social Development Department, although some employees will continue to work remotely. The health and medical supplies were provided at the workplace. Moreover, a culture of good health was promoted among the employees through the distribution of guidelines, awareness-raising posters being hung on the walls of the buildings, and the cultivation of the habit of regular hand washing. The vice dean will be constantly following up on the preventive requirements and measures issued by the Ministry of Health.

On her part, the vice dean stressed the need to adhere to and comply with these necessary measures to ensure a safe return of the employees to campus while co-existing with the current circumstances in light of the Coronavirus pandemic.
