The continuation of work is one of the main pillars of the national development process and an essential component that jump-starts the economy. Therefore, Al-Qunfudhah University College has prepared its campus and buildings for the return of its female staff members to work. This is in implementation of the decision to lift the suspension of attendance for work, and start the partial return to work with the application of preventive protocols. A circular of His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, has been made to that effect in order to guarantee a safe return to work.
In this context and implementing the organization of the workflow, Al-Qunfudhah University College (female section) received at least 50% of its staff members on Sunday, 8 Shawwal, 1441 A.H., following a group system and flexible working hours for its female staff and bearing in mind the precautionary measures to curb the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The rest of the female staff will continue to work remotely, in compliance with the approved gradual plan for return to workplaces.
Based on the directives, keenness and follow-up of His Excellency the Dean of the College, Prof. Omar bin Abdullah Al-Hazzazi, and Her Excellency the Vice Dean of Al-Qunfudhah University College (female section), Dr. Sharifah Eissa Al-Hazmi, a number of preventive measures has been taken, under the supervision of the Assistant Director of the Administration, Prof. Zahraa Hasan Al-Mahmoudi. These precautionary measures included the administration of the maintenance office completely sanitizing the building: its administrative offices, classrooms, and corridors, as well as providing protective and preventive supplies, including masks, gloves, and sanitizers, and distributing them to the college staff. This is in addition to placing informative health posters, containing health and precautionary instructions which must be followed, adhered to, and applied, on the walls of the college.
It should be noted that the provision of services to beneficiaries is still limited to digital channels, including e-tickets and the online services available to students. They include all the services that female students need and can make use of wherever they may be. The contact information is available on the college website for the college visitors to benefit from. The lifting of the suspension of attendance for work is carried out side by side with the implementation of social distancing measures. The return to work and everyday activities does not mean lifting the precautionary measures or being indifferent to applying safety means.
May Allah remove this pandemic from the different peoples and countries, and may Allah protect us all!
