The second-year female students at the Department of Clinical Nutrition for the academic year 1437-1438H performed a student activity in the subjects (Human Nutrition Basics- Nutrients and Metabolism). The event was supervised by the following teaching staff: Prof. Islam Ahmad Haidar, Dr. Seham Zahran, and Dr. Abdellah Jazar, and carried the title, “A day from healthy life.”
The activity included dedicating a poster about the basic nutrition elements for the people with special needs to the Disabled Child Association (DCA). It also involved corners about the benefits of honey, dates, milk, fruit and fresh juices for the health of children, videos to practice simple movements suitable for their health conditions, as well as a special corner for drawing and painting to know their artistic abilities and encourage benefitting from them.
