The ‘UQU_Develops_Your_Skills’ initiative achieved great interaction throughout nine days of courses, serving more than 33,300 beneficiaries with 54,165 views on different e-platforms. During this initiative, the UQU College of Community Service and Continuing Education managed to enrich the digital field and contributed to promoting the culture of volunteering.
The initiative concluded its activities on the 19th of the blessed month on Ramadan, after holding 28 training courses which were delivered by 22 professional trainers. The courses covered the sciences of the Qur'an, self-management during crises, medical emergencies and how to deal with them, and skills needed to write a scientific research. The courses also taught ergonomics, creative thinking skills, and innovation techniques, in addition to several topics related to development and skills.
This initiative comes within the patriotic voluntary efforts of Umm Al-Qura University to address the Coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic. This initiative also fulfills the UQU societal role of achieving health awareness, urging people to stay in their homes and to engage in beneficial and fruitful activities during this time.
