The Scientific Council secretariat is pleased to announce to the academic members the approval, by His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, of their promotions that were reviewed in the twenty-third session of the Academic Council for the Academic Year 1441 A.H. The secretariat members wish newly promoted teaching staff great success in the field of scientific research, and supplicate Allah (Exalted and Glorified be He) to encompass them with His care and lend them support in achieving their aspirations and accomplishing their goals.

The names of the academic staff members and their promotions:

1. Promotion of Dr. Abdul-Majid Al-Tayyib Omar Al-Tayyib, associate professor in the Department of English Language at the Institute of English Language, to the position of professor.
2. Promotion of Dr. Muhammad bin Shukri Ibrahim Al-Sufi, associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering and Islamic Architecture, to the position of professor.
3. Promotion of Dr. Abdullah bin Nassir Zuhair Al-Shihri, associate professor in the Department of Biology at Jamoum University College, to the position of professor.
4. Promotion of Dr. Hasan bin Ahmad Al-Hamdu Al-Uthman, associate professor in the Department of Language, Grammar, and Morphology at the College of Arabic Language, to the position of professor.
5. Promotion of Dr. Jabir bin Saeed Al-Husain Al-Zahrani, assistant professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the College of Engineering in Al-Qunfudhah, to the position of associate professor.
6. Promotion of Dr. Fawaz bin Adib Hamad Idris, assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the College of Medicine, to the position of associate professor.
7. Promotion of Dr. Abdul-Rahman bin Ali bin Salih Al-Ghamdi assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering and Islamic Architecture, to the position of associate professor.
8. Promotion of Dr. Ahmad bin Fathi Muhammad Muhammad, assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering and Islamic Architecture, to the position of associate professor.
9. Promotion of Dr. Naglaa bint Jabir Dhayfullah Al-Thubaiti, assistant professor in the Department of Fashion Design at the College of Designs, to the position of associate professor.
10. Promotion of Dr. Busainah bint Abdullah bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi, assistant professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the College of Education, to the position of associate professor.

Moreover, the Secretariat of the Academic Council made appropriate recommendations for the topics included in the agenda of the aforementioned session.
