The Accounting Department at the College of Business Administration, on Wednesday, 23 Rajab, 1441 A.H., corresponding to 18 March 2020, held an interactive meeting via the Zoom remote platform, entitled: "Professional Certificates and the Future of the Accounting Profession". The meeting was presented by His Excellency Dr. Mosaab Al-Juaid, Assistant Secretary-General for Membership and Professional Development, Fellow of the Saudi Organization for Certified Accountants, and Former Head of the Accounting Department at Umm Al-Qura University.

Dr. Mosaab spoke about the future of the prosperous accounting profession as well as its importance in achieving the Saudi Vision 2030 and securing current and future job opportunities, Allah willing. Among the most prominent themes of the discussion was the talk that His Excellency gave about obtaining professional certificates. He outlined several professional certificates that students can obtain before graduation to support their career, the most important of which are Cert IPSAS and CertIFR, provided by ACCA. Dr. Mosaab also shared with the students a set of useful tips for studying based on his personal experience during the different stages of his study.

Praise be to Allah, the desired goal of the meeting was achieved, which was to enrich the educational experience of the male and female students–who numbered 100 participants–by providing them with information about the future of the accounting profession and its professional certificates. The meeting also aimed at reviving their ambitions, spreading hope for the future, and encouraging them to continue to contribute with their efforts during the current circumstances and difficulties.
