Psychology Department Provides a Training Course for the Advisory Body in the General Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques Affairs

In line with the social responsibility of the Department of Psychology in the College of Education, Her Excellency Dr. Sumayyah bint Ezzat Sharaf, Vice Dean of Scientific Research and Professor of Psychiatric Health, participated in delivering a training course on the topic of strategic planning and job performance. This participation came in response to the invitation made by the Advisory Body in the General Presidency of the Affairs of the Sacred Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque.

The course aimed at shedding light on a number of topics, including the following:

  • The concept of strategic planning.
  • The stages of strategic planning.
  • The specific types and components of plans.
  • The concept of balanced scorecards.
  • The concept of initiatives and their relevant indicators.
  • The impact of planning on job performance.

The course received considerable approval and appreciation from the attendees. At the end, the advisory board honored the female trainer and thanked her for her readiness and willingness to offer this course. Furthermore, they expressed their wish for future cooperation in several other topics.

On his part, the Head of the Department of Psychology, Dr. Salim Al-Mufriji, affirmed that delivering such courses forms part of the department’s interest in supporting strategic partnerships with public and private non-profit entities. This, in turn, helps to establish scientific specializations and improve practical guidance. Finally, he appreciated the efforts exerted by all academic members in supporting issues related to fulfilling the strategic goals of the Saudi Vision 2030.
