The number of training courses provided by the departments of Al-Leith University College during the academic year 1439–1440 A.H. reached 122 training courses, in various fields. The number of papers presented by faculty members reached 80 in the areas of scientific research, with participation in 32 international conferences. Moreover, 30 teaching assistants and lecturers received scholarships to complete their postgraduate studies.
This information was included in the college annual report for the academic year 1439–1440, which was handed to His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, in his office today, Wednesday, by the Dean of the College, Dr. Muhammad Al-Maliki, in the presence of the Vice Dean of the College, Dr. Omar Al-Salihi, and the Vice Dean of the College for Educational Affairs, Dr. Makhlad Al-Saeedi .
Furthermore, Dr. Al-Maliki talked about the most prominent achievements of the college during the past academic year through the realization of the strategic goals of the university; the college action plan was formulated and approved, and study plans for undergraduate and preparatory year programs were updated. Improving learning resources, enhancing the student’s skills scientifically and skill-wise, developing the counseling and guidance system, and caring for outstanding and creative students were also among the top priorities.
The report also outlined the college's efforts to meet the requirements of institutional accreditation by achieving high standards, in addition to its participation in the membership of the internal auditing and self-study committees of the university.
