UQU Develops Academic Registration System of the Medical Colleges

University of Umm Al-Qura (UQU) has developed the academic registration system of the medical colleges via informatics system related to the university. This came during a meeting held on Thursday Rabie Al-Thani 28, 1438 H at King Faisal hall at the university city in Abdyiaو in the presence of the Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Hashim Al-Samadani, Dean of College of Medicine Dr. Anmar Nassir, the Vice Dean of IT for e-Services, Dr. Atef Al-Hejaili and the officials of the Deanship of Information Technology, Admission and Registration  and the College of Medicine.

  
The meeting discussed academic registration phases of the medical colleges, recalculation of the academic load of the faculty members, developing registration system for students of medicine based on weekly registration system and the activities and training inside the college.  


For his part, Vice Dean of IT for e-Services Dr. Atif Al-Hejaili said the system was updated and became more flexible to enable updating schedules on weekly instead of  semester bases. The updating also includes recalculation of the  academic load for the faculty members to depend on the actual number of units during the academic semester so as to cope with the new approved study plans of the health colleges. 


Meanwhile, Dean of Admission and Registration Dr. Hashim Al-Smadani extended his thanks and appreciation to the Deanship of Information technology and the medical colleges for their continuous cooperation with the Deanship of Admission and Registration for creating proper educational environment for the university students. He also lauded follow up of the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas and the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Sorouji and their keenness to upgrading academic services provided for the university students.
