His Excellency the UQU President Launches the Updated Administrative Communication System (Masar)

His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU), Prof. Abdullah Bafail, today launched the updated Administrative Communication System (Masar), which is integrated with a number of features and smart electronic systems and associated with the ‘Yesser’ program. This took place in the presence of the UQU Vice President, Prof. Farid bin Ali Al-Ghamdi, the Acting Dean of Information Technology, Dr. Atef Al-Hejaili, the Vice Dean of Information Technology for Technological Affairs, Dr. Saud Al-Utaibi, and the Director of the Documents and Administrative Communication Center, Mr. Ahmad bin Fathi Al-Sabban, at the President's office in Al-Abdiyyah.

The Director of the Documents and Administrative Communication Center stated that the aim of launching the new updated version of the Administrative Communication System (Masar) is to keep abreast of the latest technology in administrative communication systems. The intention is to work towards realizing electronic governance, supporting digital transformation, and limiting the spread of paper transactions by activating the electronic messaging feature, while maintaining their confidentiality. Moreover, the system detects and automatically monitors transactions. It is also flexible and easy to use.

The UQU Vice Presidency, represented by the Documents and Administrative Communication Center, in collaboration with the Deanship of Information Technology, held 24 introductory meetings to introduce the system and its mechanism of use at the university’s headquarters and branches, during which 328 training tickets were opened.

The Director of the Documents and Administrative Communication Center praised the constant support of the UQU President and the Vice President which led to this noteworthy achievement.
