Under sponsorship of the President of Umm Al-Qura University (UQU) Dr. Bakri bin M'atooq bin Bakri Assas, the Deanship of Library Affairs celebrated its former Dean Prof. Adnan bin Mohamed Al-Harthi Al-Sharif in recognition of the efforts he exerted during his tenure in the Deanship that lasted for 14 years.  The celebration was attended by a number of UQU Vice Presidents, Deans of the Colleges and UQU Officials.   

After initiating the ceremony with a Quranic recitation, The Dean of the Library Affairs, Dr. Adel Ba-Na’mah delivered speech in which he lauded the efforts exerted by Prof. Al-Sharif in the service of science. After that, a brief visual presentation on the most important moments of the march of Prof. Al-Sharif in the Deanship of Library Affairs, was displayed.   

That was followed by speeches of Dr. Yousif Al-Thgafi, Prof. Adnan Al-Sharif and then the UQU President Dr. Bakri Assas.

At the end of the ceremony, the UQU President handed out Prof. Al-Sharif memorial gifts and shields, then a luncheon was served on this occasion.
