His Excellency UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, has inaugurated King Abdullah University Library's Manuscripts Museum, which contains more than 3,000 original manuscripts. The museum consists of a meeting hall and a gallery for displaying the original manuscripts. The museum is famous for containing a manuscript that dates back to the hijri second century.
His Excellency UQU President was accompanied on the tour inside the museum by His Excellency the University Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul-Wahhab Al-Resini, the Dean of Library Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Al-Lihaibi, His Excellency the Vice Dean for Technological Affairs, Dr. Hassan Al-Thubaiti, His Excellency the UQU Vice President, Dr. Matar Al-Eissa, Her Excellency the Vice Dean of Library Affairs, Dr. Amina Al-Ahmadi, and the Head of the Department of Manuscripts, Sterilization, and Restoration, Mr. Wael Adel, for reviewing the manuscripts existing in the hall and the information included in each manuscript.
The show about the library's museum and the valuable manuscripts contained in it was praised by His Excellency the UQU President, who also expressed appreciation for the efforts exerted in the museum and the care given to the manuscripts. In addition, His Excellency wrote some motivational words in the visitors' golden record.
