His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, at his office yesterday (Tuesday), honored the "Endorphin Team" of the UQU Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship for winning the first place in the competition of "Sports for All Challenge" (for university students) organized by the Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA). The event was attended by the Dean of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Muwaffaq Urijah, and the team supervisor, Dr. Talal Al-Maghrabi.
The Head of the Saudi Sports for All Federation, His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Al-Walid bin Talal, presented the prize of 10 thousand dollars for first place to the UQU "Endorphin" team. As for the second place, it was awarded to the "150 Minutes" team from the University of Southern Illinois, whereas the third place was the share of "Your Health Is in Your Steps" team from the University of Hail.
The Endorphin Team won the first place, surpassing 18 teams from 9 different cities, for its suggestion to host a sport camp for two days for the sport groups, and for encouraging them to practice their favorite sport with their communities.
His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, congratulated the team, stressing that this is an achievement which UQU is proud of due to its contribution in improving the quality of university life and spreading health education.
