The Standing Committee for Training and Scholarships held its 8th meeting for the academic year 1437/1438H on Wednesday, Rab. 20, 1438H. Convened by the UQU Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Thamer bin Hemdan al-Harbi, the meeting was attended by the Supervisor General of Scholarships, Dr. Ahmed bin Youssef Barqawi, and all other committee members. 

The committee secretary, Mr. Wael A. Shaldoom, stated that topics on the agenda were discussed, coming up with the following recommendations: Approving of shcolarships for 3 TAs and 1 instructor; approving of language study expansion for 2 scholarship students; approving of MA study expansion for 1 scholarship student; approving of PhD study expansion for 6 scholarship students; and approving of university change request for 2 schosarship students.
