From the perspective of the vision of development in the Makkah region, based on human development and land construction and adopted by the Makkah Cultural Forum in its fourth session,  which is held under the theme, "How to be a good example according to the Qur'an", and following the directions of His Excellency the Dean of Al-Qunfudhah University College, Prof. Omar Al-Hazzazi, the staff of the Library Unit supervised, coordinated, organized, and implemented the "A Book in an Hour: Your Book on Your Office Bookshelf" initiative, in the University College.

The initiative was held under the supervision and follow-up of the Vice Dean of the College, Her Excellency Dr. Sharifah Al-Hazmi, and the college vice deans, the heads of the academic departments of both the male and female sections, a large number of college female employees and the university community, as well as the faculty and female students. This project falls under the initiatives of the Makkah Cultural Forum, under the slogan: “How to be a good example according to the Qur'an".

The event took place on Monday, 9 Jumada Al-Thani, 1441 A.H., at 10 a.m., in the library. The participants worked hard to make the place look beautiful, in order to create an attractive environment within the college, and a wonderful team of female colleagues gave them a hand. This initiative witnessed a large turnout from the audience, with everyone expressing their happiness with this distinguished initiative and the good effect it had, which reflected positively on the audience; it won the admiration of the college community.
