His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, witnessed, in his office this evening, the signing of two cooperation agreements on the part of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, one with the College of Community Service and Continuing Education and another with the College of Dentistry. These two cooperation agreements provide training aspects and fellowship programs for dentists with the aim of strengthening areas of partnership with the health sectors, in addition to implementing joint programs that contribute to the development of the medical staff.

The Secretary General of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, Dr. Ayman Abdu, concluded the first agreement with the Assistant Vice President for Development and Community Service, Dr. Khalid Barqawi. This agreement aims at implementing training and health programs, and supervising the training path that works towards qualifying Saudi cadres in all disciplines, in cooperation with the Training Department of the College of Community and Continuing Education.

Dr. Ayman Abdu signed the second agreement with the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Khutani. This second agreement seeks at intensifying cooperation between the two sides as well as training dentists in fellowship programs, the most important of which are orthodontics and teeth straightening. This is in order in order to enhance cognitive and clinical skills and qualify human cadres, thereby contributing to meeting the labor market requirements for these specialties.
