The Qur’anic Guidance Chair of the Deanship of Scientific Research at Umm Al-Qura University participated in organizing the Second International Qur’anic Conference, entitled: “Glorification of Allah the Almighty in the Qur’anic Guidance”. The event was set up in partnership and cooperation with the International University of Africa in Sudan, from 9 to 11 January 2020.

The conference aims at formalizing identifying and glorifying the Majestic Name (Allah) found in the Holy Qur’an, and deducing Qur’anic guidance related to this Majestic Name. In addition, the conference aims at discussing the efforts of scientists and researchers in deepening and spreading the culture of glorifying the Majestic Name (Allah) in Muslim societies.

The activities of the conference were launched in the presence of the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the State of Sudan, Mr. Ali Jaafar, the Officer-in-Charge of the Cultural Mission, Mr. Saleh Majrashi, the Supervisor of the Qur’anic Guidance Chair, Prof. Yahya Zamzami, and a number of scholars and researchers from different Arab and Islamic countries.

Prof. Yahya Zamzami stressed that participating with the academic chair in organizing the conference comes within the main objectives of the chair, which seeks to spread the culture of Qur’anic guidance and work with Arab and Islamic universities to qualify researchers specialized in deducing Qur’anic guidance.

He added that the conference of ‘Glorification of Allah the Almighty in the Qur’anic Guidance’ discusses the concept and significance of the Majestic Name being glorified in the Holy Qur’an. It also studies appropriate ways and means to communicate the message of ‘Glorifying Allah’ to the younger generation, through building educational curricula and making application models available via modern social media.
