The Head of the International Institute for Iranian Studies, Dr. Muhammad Al-Sulami, revealed that there is a literature connection between the Arabic Language and the Persian Culture, and that more than 60 % of the linguistic components of the Persian Language, which are widely used in the daily usage of the Persian Language due to the simplicity in pronouncing and writing them, are derived from Arabic.
This statement was during the lecture organized by the College of Arabic Language at Umm Al-Qura University on Wednesday, under the title, "Arabic Language in the Iranian Culture". This lecture was offered by Dr. Muhammad Al-Sulami in the presence of the Dean of the College of Arabic Language and Literature, Dr. Yusuf Al-Sulami, and a number of academic staff members and affiliates of the university.
Dr. Al-Sulami pointed out the importance of learning Arabic Language in order to study the Glorious Qur'an and the Sunnah. He also indicated the importance of knowing the contributions of the civilization background of the Arabic Language in forming the Iranian cultural identity, in addition to the influence of Arabic poetry on Persian poetry with regard to meter, rhyme, writing styles, and poetic images.
