As part of the events of the World Arabic Language Day, the Arabic Language Department presented a program entitled "Arabic Language and Artificial Intelligence".
The program started with an introduction about the Arabic language and its description, the Noble Qur'an, the Prophetic Hadith, Philology of Arabic Language, poetry, news in Arabic, "Contributions by Arabic Speaking Innovators," and finally, a supplication in Arabic.
The program was supervised by Ms. Israa Al-Ali, who spoke about Arabic language as the language of communication and beauty. She also talked about artificial intelligence and its relationship to the Arabic language, and models of language computing in terms of morphology and grammar.
From faculty members Ms. Iman Al-Umari, and Ms. Sawsan Kamal participated; they spoke about Arabic language and how to preserve it. Also, Dr. Sainaa spoke about taking pride in the Arabic language. Finally Ms. Asmaa Al-Awwad spoke to the same effect. The program was attended by Vice Dean of the College Dr. Iman Al-Lihaibi, who spoke about the importance of the Arabic language in the framework of ambitions and goals. A number of doctors from different departments also attended.
The female students presented their contribution to this event, which was a video montage that included a Quranic verse and a word by His Royal Highness Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Governor of Makkah Region.
