The Department of Family Education at Al-Leith University College launched the winter clothes initiative, coinciding with the winter season, under the title, "Winter Smile", on Wednesday, 7 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1441 A.H. The event was organized by the Head of the Department of Family Education, Dr. Rasha Majlid, along with Dr. Asmaa Bukhari and Ms. Hind Hawsawi, with the participation of the female students of the Department of Family Education. This initiative aimed at endorsing the culture of humanitarian work, and incorporating the Islamic meaning of modesty and affinity among the Muslims. It also rises from the religious and charitable obligation.

Moreover, it aimed at providing winter bags for female workers at the college. These bags contained a shawl, gloves, scarf, and socks.

The initiative was honored by the attendance of Her Excellency Dr. Eman Al-Lihaibi, the Vice Dean of Al-Leith University College, as well as a number of female academic staff members and female students.
