On Sunday, 11 Rabi Al-Thani 1441 A.H., the Department of Psychology, in cooperation with the Training Courses Center, held a course entitled: ‘The Power of Positive Behavior and Thinking.’ The course was delivered under the supervision of Her Excellency Dr. Hanan Amin Mahbub, Assistant Professor of Mental Health and Psychological Counseling at the Department of Psychology, and was implemented by the supplementary PhD students.
The course was designed to achieve the following objectives:
The course was attended by a group of female bachelor's and postgraduate students. At the end of the session, Dr. Hanan Mahbub gave a lecture that highlighted the Psychology of Forgiveness as a very important characteristic of a positive personality. Dr. Hanan stressed the importance of this concept and its connection with the psychological and physical wellbeing of the individual. Her Excellency also pointed out the role of tolerance in restoring damaged relationships, rebuilding mutual trust between people which has been lost, and directing it back to harmony. The undergraduate students of the Mental Health Course also participated in the accompanying exhibition.
