She explained that in order to make successful scientific research, a researcher must possess some specific characteristics, including the aptitude to make use of their innate capabilities and gifts, which should always be developed. The most important characteristics the researcher should have include the love for science and knowledge, a clarity of mind, patience and perseverance, scientific integrity, intuition, and imagination.
Moreover, she stressed that researchers must have the qualities that enable them to complete all the work assigned to them, in order for scientific research to emerge positively in the service of humankind, and achieve lofty goals, welfare, and development.
As regards the objectives of the forum, the Deputy Director of the Center for Educational and Psychological Research, Dr. Amani Al-Dusari, explained that they seek to achieve several objectives: These include formulating research priorities in the educational fields according to the Saudi Vision 2030, finding ways to support research, highlighting the importance of such activities and events meeting the needs of society, spreading the culture of scientific research, raising awareness of the means of disseminating and marketing research, and encouraging graduate students to showcase their outstanding achievements by allowing them to participate in the forum.
She added that the exchange of knowledge that they seek contributes to changing the perception that the scientific research sector is one that only consumes energy and resources. This will enable the research sector to play its leading and continuing role in knowledge management, in generating added economic value by improving the efficiency of knowledge transfer to public life, and in developing the transfer of innovation and expertise to the business world, in the framework of sustainable development research.
