His Excellency the Dean of Al-Qunfudhah University College, Prof. Omar bin Abdullah Al-Hazzazi, launched the reading marathon event organized by the the cultural committee in the university college's club. The launching ceremony was attended by His Excellency the Vice Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Ahmad Al-Matehami, the Supervisor of the University College Student Club, Mr. Ahmad Musa`id Al-Ghamdi, and a number of the college vice deans and academic staff.

The event was designed to disseminate a reading culture among students using a fun method which gained the admiration of all the attendants. The dean of the college liked the idea and extended his thanks to those who are in charge of it.
