The Department of Psychology at the College of Education, under the supervision of Dr. Hanan Al-Malki, Associate Professor of Psychological Health at the Department of Psychology, and the preparation of the MSc students, organized the event, "Let Me Have a Safe Childhood". The event was held on Monday, 13 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1440 A.H., and included educational sessions about childhood problems, employing several corners, as follows:

1- The corner of play in relation to children: between the past and present

Themes:

• Types of games.
• Importance of playing
• Statistics on the use of smart devices among children.
• Advantages and disadvantages of devices.

2- The corner on problems of shyness among children

Themes:

• Causes of shyness among children.
• Methods of treatment for shyness among children.
• Methods of preventing shyness.

3- The corner of nutrition disorders among children

Themes:

• Nutrition problems.
• Causes.
• Methods of treatment.

4- The corner of sexual harassment among children

Themes:

• Awareness of sexual harassment.
• Methods of prevention.

5- The fear corner

Themes:

• The concept of fear.
• Causes of difference in the types of children's fears.
• Symptoms of fear among children.
• Types of fear among children.
• Different causes of fear behavior among children.
• Preventing problems of fear among children.
• Methods to treat fear.

6- Finger sucking corner

Themes:

• How the problem starts.
• Causes of the problem.
• Impacts of the problem.

7- Jealousy corner

• The concept of jealousy.

The event was well-received by the audience. The discussions were fruitful. The sessions tackled the most significant problems of childhood and their methods of treatment, and the effect of playing or games, in the past and recent times.
