The Intellectual Awareness Unit at the university held a scientific symposium entitled, "Decisive Storm: Motives and Results", at 10 a.m., on Monday, 5 Rabi` Al-Thani, 1441 A.H., at the Hall of Sheikh Omar Al-Sabeel (may Allah be merciful to him), at the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies in Al-Abdiyyah. The event was transmitted to the female section via the internet. Dr. Haleel bin Muhasin Al-Umairi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mass Communication at the College of Social Sciences, and Dr. Adnan bin Muhammad Al-Harithi, Professor at the Department of History and Islamic Civilization at the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies, participated in this symposium.
Dr. Al-Umairi pointed out the role of mass communication in "Decisive Storm", in the shade of the fierce attacks launched by the enemies of the Saudi Kingdom to destroy it, and how the kingdom encountered these attacks with decisiveness and facts which pointed out the fabricated allegations to the listeners.
Dr. Al-Harithi pointed out the importance of Yemen and its geographic status, and that the custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud (may Allah protect them), asserted that they stand beside the Yemeni people and support them in their fight against the Iranian occupation represented by Houthis.
The symposium was managed by Dr. Yusuf bin Abdullah Al-Bahouth, who pointed out the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting the Yemeni people. This symposium aimed at pointing out sound facts, and showing the falsehood of biased rumors.
At the end of the meeting, all inquiries and questions pertaining to the topic of the symposium were answered.
