A workshop held by the Graduate Office in the Higher Institute for Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil, yesterday (Tuesday), presented proposals and effective solutions to most of the challenges facing the female graduates. Likewise, a package of services was launched to benefit the students, most important of which are the creation of a database that includes CVs, Jadarah page editing, a list of available employers, and the setting up of an email for these services. The purpose of this is to enable the Graduate Office to be a link with the labor market.
This came during a workshop held under the title, "The Status Quo of Female Graduates of the Higher Institute for Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil and the Needs of the Labor Market According to the Saudi Vision 2030", in cooperation with the Deanship of Development and Quality in the female section of Umm Al-Qura University. The event aimed at identifying the most important challenges facing female graduates.
The workshop reviewed several challenges, notably: the level of experience of the graduates, employers' unawareness of the potential of the institute's female graduates, major accreditation through the Jadarah system, and other conditions that may face the female graduates. The workshop also dealt with recording, analyzing, and then discussing the aspirations of the graduates.
The aim of the event was to shed light on the status quo of the female graduates of the institute in its two departments, Hisbah and Training Courses, while reviewing their ability to engage in the labor market.
Within this context, during the workshop, Dr. Suzan Bardis, Vice Dean of Academic Development and Quality, summarized the most important services provided by the unit to its graduates. The supervisor of the Institute's Graduate Office in the female section, Dr. Amani Al-Shuaibi, provided an overview of the roles and functions of the office, in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
At the end of the workshop, the participants thanked the Dean of the Higher Institute for Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil, His Eminence Prof. Abdul-Wahab Al-Resini, the Supervisor of the Graduate Office in the male students section, Prof. Ayesh Al-Bishri, the Dean of Development and Quality, Dr. Muhammad bin Jaafar Thabit, and the Supervisor of the Alumni Unit at the University, Dr. Saeed Kabrah, for their support for the Graduate Office. The participants were then honored and were offered certificates of appreciation.
It is noteworthy that the Higher Institute for Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil will hold another workshop with employers next Wednesday.
