The Department of Kindergartens at the College of Education, Umm Al-Qura University, held the activities of the International Children's Day on Wednesday, 23 Rabi` Al-Awwal, 1441 A.H., corresponding to 20 November, 2019 A.C., under the slogan of "The International Day for the Rights of the Child". The event was organized in collaboration with Dar Al-Bushra Private Kindergarten in Al-Awali District, where 22 children were hosted.

The ceremony started with a recitation of the Qur'an by one of the talented children. The ceremony then started, including drama sketches, puppet shows, and a song entitled, "Childhood", presented by the kindergarten children, as well as the distribution of healthy meals to the children participating in the event. Later, the children moved to the educational and pedagogical corners as well as the corner of recreational and motor games, which were prepared by the female students of the department and equipped with colored balloons. At the end of the event, souvenirs were distributed to the children.

The Head of the Early Childhood Department, Dr. Samirah Yaaqub Qashqari, expressed her thanks to all those who participated in the organization of the International Children's Day, especially Dr. Maysa Muhandis, Dr. Hala Al-Jazzar, Dr. Sumayya Zhafar, Dr. Wafaa Ashour, Dr. Sarah Al-Utaibi, Dr. Nihad Kesnawi, Dr. Ibtihal Ghandourah, Ms. Aisha Qadi, Ms. Shaimaa Habib, Ms. Heba Abdul-Jalil, and all the participants from the female students of the department, for their creative efforts that added delight and pleasure to the children.
