The President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, today 3 discussed three initiatives for scientific research and programs with the supervisor of ‘Ataat Alilm Ltd. Corporation’ for the Sponsorship of Scientific Projects, Dr. Muhammad Al-Sarai`, and his delegation, at the UQU President office in Al-Abdiyyah. This was in the presence of the Dean of the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies, Dr. Ra'id Al-Usaimi, and the Institutional Communication Supervisor, Dr. Abdullah Al-Shanqiti.
His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, stressed that the university, according to its strategic objectives, is keen to expand its partnerships with non-profit sectors that play a role in the service of scientific research and its outcomes, and serve society and its development. He pointed out that this meeting is one of the most important objectives that the university seeks to achieve, in accordance with the new Universities Law towards diversification of partnerships.
The three initiatives were to sponsor talented students of Shari`ah science, offer training on the Guide of the Scientific Enterprise Industry, and enrich the scientific content of the Wikipedia World Encyclopedia.
On his part, Dr. Mohammed Al-Sarai` explained that ‘Ataat Alilm Ltd. Corporation for the Sponsorship of Scientific Projects’ aims to achieve scientific construction according to methodological foundations, to develop Shari`ah scientific programs, and to promote and preserve the Islamic identity. He pointed out that it serves the consultative side by studying the innovation of scientific projects to develop and implement them.
He explained that the processes of building specialized projects of Shari`ah science with ‘Ataat Alilm Ltd. Corporation’ pass through several stages. The first stage is the conception phase, where new ideas are reviewed for their impact and relevance; next is the nurturing phase, in which the project outline is laid and a feasibility study is made; the following phase is the project design and preparation for implementation; then comes the activation phase by starting the implementation of the project plan and following up its performance, side by side with business incubation by supporting the implementation of the project through the provision of infrastructure, administrative and advisory services.
