The Intellectual Awareness Unit today, Monday, 14 Rabi` Al-Awwal 1440 A.H., held a lecture on "Al-Wala' wal-Bara' (Loyalty and Disassociation for Allah's Sake) between Reality and Paradox" delivered by Dr. Muhammad Omar Bazmul, Professor in the Department of the Qur'an and Sunnah at the College of Da`wah and Fundamentals of Religion at the University, at Sheikh Abdul-Aziz bin Baz Hall.
The lecture was attended by a number of faculty members and its Vice Dean, Dr. Hamdi Al-Qariqri. Dr. Bazmul explained the definition of Wala' and Bara' in Islam, and the extent of its dimensions at the present time.
At the end of the lecture, the lecturer listened to a number of participants' comments. The Head of the Unit gave ten financial gifts from the unit to the attendees. The meeting was also transmitted via the broadcast network to the female section, and the lecturer listened to one of the female participants.
At the end of the lecture, the Head of the Intellectual Awareness Unit, Dr. Muhammad Al-Saidi, thanked the lecturer and the audience. He also thanked the Deanship of the College of Da`wah and Fundamentals of Religion, represented by its Dean Dr. Faisal Ghazzawi, and its Vice Dean for Educational Affairs, Dr. Hamdi Al-Qariqri.
