His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, the President of Umm Al-Qura University, today, in his office at Al-Abdiyyah, received the annual report of the College of Arabic Language for the Academic Year 1439/1440 A.H. The report was delivered by His Excellency the Dean of the College, Dr. Yusuf Al-Sulami, in the presence of the college vice deans and heads of the departments.

Dr. Al-Sulami referred to the college's achievements throughout the previous academic year, including the development of the educational curricula in the college's diverse departments. Furthermore, he indicated that four post-graduate programs had been updated. In addition, 270 courses and workshops were held to promote the efficiency of the academic staff members.

Additionally, he tackled the college's efforts in scientific research, since 34 MA Theses and 23 PhD Dissertations were examined and about 33 of the academic staff members published academic research in peer-reviewed periodicals.

On his part, His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University praised the efforts exerted by the Dean of the College and all its vice deans, heads of the departments and all affiliates of the academic staff and employees for their tangible, manifest and unremitting efforts to serve the students, and enrich the academic contents and the research field in the university. Finally, he promised to pursue his support of the initiatives and activities performed by the college throughout the second term.
