The Scholarship and Training Standing Committee held its fifth meeting on Wednesday, Rabi' Al Awwal 15, 1438H.

It was chaired by Vice President for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research Dr. Thamir bin Hamdan al-Harbi. Head of the Scholarship Department Dr. Ahmed bin Yusuf Barqawi attended the meeting along with the committee's members.

The meeting issued recommendations on the following agenda items:

1- Four teaching assistants were recommended for scholarships;

2- Scholarships should be terminated for six students;

3- Scientific trips accepted for two students on scholarships;

4- University and specialty change requests accepted for five students on scholarships;

5- Extending scholarship terms for eight Ph.D. students;

6- Extending scholarship terms for three Master's students;

7- Extending scholarship terms for one research program student;

8- Extending scholarship terms for seven language program students;

9- Extending scholarship terms for one fellowship program student;

Committee Secretary Mr. Wael Abdel Razeq Shaldoum said the discussions covered all subjected on the agenda and the due decisions were taken.
