The UQU Deanship of Student Affairs concluded the school week at the female section in Al-Zahir branch with various recreational activities and events that were held under the slogan, 'Be Happy'. This was in line with the objectives of the Quality of Life Program and in accordance with the Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to enhance the practice of sports activities in the community as well as develop and diversify recreational opportunities to meet the various needs of the population.
Dr. Amal bint Omar Sindi, Vice Dean of Students Affairs for Direction, Guidance, and Community Partnership, stressed the importance of the slogan of the program in supporting the objectives of the deanship and realizing its mission of caring for the students and harnessing their skills and talents.
She drew attention to the social dimension characterizing the event, reflected in the engagement of all university employees in the recreation program, and the accompanying interactive corners and mental games.
She added, "We are keen on fostering communication between students, faculty members and leaders outside the framework of the tasks required by the nature of their work."
The student Raghad Mandili expressed her admiration for the high quality event, and lauded its effectiveness and role in offering recreation to the students, relieving them from the hard work performed during the school week, especially as it came simultaneously with the exam period.
The student Aisha Muhammad said that the recreational program was very similar to a theme park, in terms of incorporating all recreational activities and embodying the finest details, starting with the game entry wristbands at all the gates of the activity hall, and the many different types of snacks and ice cream carts offering delicious flavors that appeal to the tastes of all visitors.
