The UQU Deanship of Student Affairs organized a training course on "Conducting and Editing Press Dialogues", in cooperation with the Media Department. The course was held in the training hall of the Department of Student Activities building in Al-Abdiya.

The course, which was presented by Dr. Al-Amir Sahsah, a faculty member of the Media Department in the College of Social Sciences, was attended by many university students from different colleges in preparation for the 11th Scientific Forum this year.

During the training session, Dr. Al-Sahsah discussed the basics of conducting a press dialogue, the steps to follow, which entails choosing the type of dialogue, whether informative, self-talk or opinion dialogue, as well as the controls in setting questions and their arrangement based on the type of dialogue.

Concerning writing, he stressed the importance of first formulating the body of the dialogue, then drawing out the introduction, and next putting the titles. He touched on the types of titles, saying that the quoted title is preferred in press interviews, pointing out how to formulate titles, and training students on how to write them.

The lecturer stressed that the summary introduction is very important with regard to the editing of press dialogues. The descriptive introduction comes next in terms of importance.
