This morning, Umm Al-Qura University, represented by the Initiatives Management and Vision Realization Office, proceeded with holding a second interactive workshop to introduce the remaining programs of the Saudi Vision 2030, and to give a detailed explanation of the objectives of the Privatization and Human Capacity Development programs. This was in addition to shedding light on the National Personality Enhancing program, and how to write and present initiatives that keep pace with the objectives of the vision and program pertaining to the National Transformation 2020 Plan. The workshop took place in the King Abdulaziz Hall in Al-Abdiyyah, and was attended by the University Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Abdulaziz Suruji, and the Vice President of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Abdul-Wahab Al-Resini.
The Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Abdulaziz Suruji, stressed the significance of organizing such specialized workshops to acquaint all the university staff with the programs of the Saudi Vision 2030, and to provide support to all university employees with a focus on offering novel initiatives that can achieve the future objectives of the university's vision. He also pointed out the great role played by the Initiatives Management and Vision Realization Office in building bridges of communication between the university and its employees. This is in order to enrich the content of the initiatives and work on implementing them inside and outside the university.
The General Supervisor of the Initiatives Management and Vision Realization Office, Dr. Ihab Malibari, delivered a presentation on the vision and orientation of the office during the coming period. The vision mainly aims at establishing a pioneering environment that supports the employees of the university and its various sectors, along with enabling the university to achieve its strategic objectives that are in line with the University Empowerment Plan 2023.
The Deputy General Supervisor of the Initiatives Management and Vision Realization Office for Execution Affairs, Dr. Khalid Khayat, discussed the most important objectives of the "Human Capacity Development" program. These objectives aim at improving the outputs of the education and training system at all educational levels, and creating a scientific training environment fully adapted to the demands of development and the local and global labor market. He emphasized that the initiatives of this program, when submitted (and approved), will act as one of the cornerstones for continuous development of the outputs of Umm Al-Qura University in the areas of education and training.
Finally, the Deputy General Supervisor of the Initiatives Management and Vision Realization Office, Dr. Tahani Al-Subait, gave a detailed presentation on the strategic dimensions of the “National Personality Enhancing" program, which aims at building a value system linked to the heritage of the kingdom and the elements sustaining its unity and deeply-rooted Islamic principles. This program consists of a package of integrated initiatives that work towards deepening the sense of national belonging, and promoting the values of moderation and tolerance.
