On Monday, 17 Muharram, 1440 A.H., the Department of Chemistry, organized a training course entitled, "Safety in Chemical Laboratories". The course was presented by His Excellency Prof. Salih Abdul-Majid, and covered several topics that aimed at clarifying the importance of applying laboratory safety and security procedures. Prof. Salih also explained the measures that prevent or reduce accidents, as far as possible, in a manner consistent with global methods and standards. The course targeted the students of the Department of Chemistry at the College of Applied Sciences.
This training course comes within a series of educational sessions on the importance of ensuring the safety and security of scientific laboratories. They are offered by the department to raise the level and skills of students in various scientific areas.
