Students of the Theater Club Attract the Visitors of the 'Confident Start' Forum by Impersonating International Characters

Students of the Theater Club at Umm Al-Qura University impersonated international figures, including Charlie Chaplin, the Neighborhood Mayor, and the Moroccan, in the theater of King Saud Hall by reincarnating their characteristics in a way that impressed the new students who had gathered in the hall. This was during their annual forum, "Confident start", which was organized by the Deanship of Students Affairs.

The head of the theater club, the student Muataz Sabri who impersonated Charlie Chaplin, said the participation of the club's members in the new students' forum aims to introduce them to the role of the university theater, and its programs and activities. He added that the theater contributed to sharpening and boosting his skills through the participation in the multiple theatrical works that developed his capabilities in theatrical representations. He stressed that the participation of the students in the different clubs, in general, and the theater club, in particular, help them to boost their skills and develop their thinking. He explained that the number of students who joined the theater club during the days of the forum amounted to more than 100 students.

He mentioned that the club presented in the past year several plays that mimic the students' university march. He invited students to join the theater club so as to contribute to serving in the theatrical activities in and outside the university.

On his part, the Vice Dean of Activities and Students Services Dr. Yasir Al-Hazimi, said the students' clubs receive the care and support of His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, and the UQU Vice President for Educational Affairs, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Rashad Suruji. He underlined that the deanship is very keen to develop and activate the university theater besides encouraging the talents in the fields of acting, authoring, directing, lightening, acoustics and other, activities, programs and events organized by the Deanship of Students Affairs throughout the year.

It is worth mentioning that the Theater Club includes a lot of talented students from different specializations.
