Programs of the UQU Oasis for Consultations Contribute to the Development of Hajj and Umrah Services

The Dean of the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies, Dr. Ali Al-Sha`iri, stressed the importance of qualifying workers in the Hajj and Umrah sectors by making use of educational and training centers with programs to be carried out by specialized personnel to ensure increasing the satisfaction indicators of pilgrims and visitors of the Sacred House of Allah on the services and facilities provided for them while performing their rituals.

During the sessions of the third and last day of the Hajj and Umrah Forum held at the Jeddah Center for Conferences and Exhibitions from 25-27 Dul-Hijjah 1440 A.H., Dr. Al-Sha`iri pointed out the role of UQU Oasis for Consultations in creating postgraduate programs for masters and higher diplomas in line with the requirements of the labor market, including scientific studies and specialized research in the development of services for Hajj, Umrah, visitors, and crowd management, in addition to establishing university departments at the undergraduate level in the management of Hajj and Umrah, and tourism and hospitality to support workers in the Hajj and Umrah systems with scientifically and professionally qualified national graduates.

Moreover, Dr. Al-Sha`iri gave a presentation about the significant services offered by Umm Al-Qura Oasis for Consultations through eight developmental units ranging from professional training for the educational and health sectors to geographic information systems and engineering development. He explained that 26,306 trainers have registered in the 689 professional training courses offered by 50 certified trainers. He praised the contributions of the colleges and scientific departments in the practical application of the research outputs.
