His Excellency Dr. Samir bin Hasan Qari, the Head of the Department of Biology, and all the staff of the department would like to extendcongratulations to Dr. Wesam bin Mansour Filfilan on obtaining a PhD degree in environmental science, and on being appointed as an assistant professor in the Department of Biology.

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Wesam has obtained a PhD with honors in environmental physiology. His thesis, which was supervised by Prof. Muhammad Al-Jahdali from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, tackled the physiological effects of the environmental pollutants on freshwater fish.

The department members wish him the best of success and further scientific progress and achievement.
