His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, inspected the new building at the university campus in Al-Abdiyyah to determine the work remaining to make it operational. The inspection was conducted in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty Members and Employees Affairs, Prof. Farid Al-Ghamdi, the Supervisor of the General Administration of Projects, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hazimi, and the heads of the affiliated departments.

Prof. Bafail toured all the facilities of the building and checked on all the preparations made by the General Administration of Projects. He ordered that all remaining required work be completed in order to transfer all the university departments at Al-Aziziyyah to it before the beginning of the first semester of the academic year 1440/1441 A.H.

The Supervisor of the General Administration of Projects, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hazimi, said the new building will accommodate 30 different university departments and an alternative headquarters for the Deanship of Faculty Members and Employees Affairs. He stated that the capacity of the new 5-story building, which covers an area of more than 20 thousand meters, is 420 employees from various departments.

He added that the building has been equipped with latest means and standards to facilitate the administrative work of the employees and visitors. He then extended his thanks and appreciation to the UQU President for his keenness and close follow up to enable the completion of the new building and provide an appropriate environment to meet the needs of the university employees.
