The Secretariat of the Academic Council is pleased to announce to the academic staff members the approval of His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University of their academic promotions listed in the "Twenty Fourth" session of the Academic Council for the academic year 1439/1440 A.H. The secretariat members would like to wish all newly appointed teaching staff further success in the field of scientific research, supplicating Allah (Exalted and Glorified be He) to encompass them with His care and to support them in the accomplishment of their objectives and the realization of their aspirations.

Names of Their Excellencies, the academic staff, and their promotions:

1. Dr. Khalid bin Abdullah Daeil Al-Shamarani, an associate professor at the Department of Judicial Studies in the College of Judicial Studies and Regulations, has been promoted to the rank of professor.
2. Dr. Muhammad bin Ibrahim Abdul-Rahman Al-Namlah, an associate professor at the Department of Judicial Studies in the College of Judicial Studies and Regulations, has been promoted to the rank of professor.
3. Dr. Yahya bin Ahmad Muhammad Al-Zahrani, an associate professor at the Department of Arabic Language in the University College in Al-Qunfudhah, has been promoted to the rank of professor.
4. Dr. Hanan bint Abdullah Ahmad Rizq, an associate professor at the Department of Curriculum and Instruction in the College of Education, has been promoted to the rank of professor.
5. Dr. Hasan bin Maimun Muhammad Muhi Baqi, an assistant professor at the Department of Da`wah and Islamic Culture in the College of Da`wah and Fundamentals of Religion, has been promoted to the rank of associate professor.
6. Dr. Fakhri bin Barikan Barki Al-Qurashi, an associate professor at the Department of Judicial Studies in the College of Judicial Studies and Regulations, has been promoted to the rank of associate professor.
7. Dr. Abdul-Muhaimen bin Yasin Naser Al-Khatib, an assistant professor at the Department of Shari`ah in the College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies, has been promoted to the rank of associate professor.
8. Dr. Yaser bin Ali Masoud Al-Qahtani, an assistant professor at the Department of Training Courses in the Higher Institute for Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil, has been promoted to the rank of associate professor.
9. Dr. Jazi bint Abdullah Abdul-Wahid, an assistant professor at the Department of Physics in the University College in Al-Qunfudhah, has been promoted to the rank of associate professor.
10. Dr. Wardah bint Abdullah Muhammad Al-Asmari, an assistant professor at the Department of Anatomy in the College of Medicine, has been promoted to the rank of associate professor.
