The Wadi Makkah Company for investment and the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Umm Al-Qura University hosted the concluding ceremony of the graduation of the startups incubated in the "Growth [Numuw]" business incubator for its second consecutive year.
The number of startups incubated in the program amounted to (17) companies, with (10) companies graduating from it, namely Laila, ThunderMoon Studio, Doctor Tech, BabMakkah, Tobah, DentaCarts, SAHL, Fatina, and finally "Mabet4u and UmrahPro.com", the two startups specializing in the field of Hajj and Umrah.
Fatma Nassir, the founder of the Fatina Company (for providing consultations for women in the field of fashion) talked about the impact of the incubator program in transforming the idea of the "Fatina" into a reality. She said, "I left my job to implement the idea that had started 5 years earlier, and ventured to carry it out. I thank Wadi Makkah Company for all the training, consultation, and funding they provided me in order to transform my idea to apply it in the field, in addition to linking my project with the supporting bodies and those specialized in technology and entrepreneurship."
Muhammad Al-Thubaiti, the founder of Mabet4u company for Hajj, Umrah and the provision of housing, pointed out that the incubator was a rich experience for him, giving him entrepreneurial knowledge and a direct contact with experts. This helped the project emerge in a better way, following constant and balanced steps.
The Vice CEO of Wadi Makkah Company for investment, Dr. Talal Al-Maghrabi, affirmed that the graduated companies should focus on their projects and remain surrounded by creators and innovators, as well as be a partner in the entrepreneurship community.
The Dean of the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Muwaffaq Uraijah, explained the integrating role between the institute, which seeks to provide education and important tools for the creation of entrepreneurial ideas, and Wadi Makkah Company for investment with its effective role in investing in minds.
This success is added to the successes of Wadi Makkah Company for investment, in cooperation with the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, to incubate startups and qualify them for the labor market by virtue of providing training courses, consultation, funding, and other services and opportunities given to the companies to enable them to enter the labor market and ensure continuity and competition in it.
