The workshop of "Autopsies for Cosmetic Surgeries and Microscopic Restoration", organized by the Department of Anatomy at the College of Medicine, concluded its third and last day with medical recommendations submitted by the physicians, consultants and academic staff members who participated in the workshop, showing their proposals on the development of medical skills in using modern technologies in cosmetic surgeries.
The physicians stressed the importance of the inclusion of the workshop outputs and applications in the Saudi medical board records to become a scientific reference for the physicians and those interested in cosmetic medicine technologies. They also stressed the importance of intensifying research and scientific papers in microscopic anatomy, and publishing them in the medical gatherings.
The consultants recommended organizing the medical workshops on microscopic restoration every year to highlight the latest technologies used in cosmetic surgeries and provide training for Saudi physicians on using them, relying on medical and scientific methods which will enable them in the future to deal professionally with cases in this regard, in line with the national visions.
On his part, the Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Abdul-Salam Nour Wali, highlighted the role of the college in the society and scientific community in boosting the efficiency of the physicians to achieve quality in providing medical services and knowledge, besides its contribution to different training fields for its students and staff.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the Chairman of the Medical-Surgical Care Association, Dr. Jamal Jum`ah, honored the Vice Dean of the College of Medicine and the Head of the Department of Anatomy, Dr. Wardah Al-Asmari, and the consultant of cosmetic surgery and restoration at King Abdullah Medical City in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Dr. Ziyad Al-Harbi, for their initiative to organize the first workshop of "Autopsies for Cosmetic Surgeries and Microscopic Restoration" at Umm Al-Qura University to exchange scientific expertise between the physicians inside and outside the Saudi Kingdom.
