The UQU Vice President for Female Student Affairs, Dr. Sarah bint Omar Al-Khuli, described the retired females as a wealth of indispensable expertise. She explained that every stage of life has its own uniqueness and that retirement is a transition to a new stage of giving and work.

This occurred during the "Giving Symbol" ceremony organized by the Deanship of Faculty Members and Employee Affairs in the honorable presence of His Excellency Prof. Abdullah bin Omar Bafail, President of Umm Al-Qura University, at King Abdulaziz Historical Hall in Al-Abdiyyah and Al-Jawhara Hall in Al-Zahir to honor the retired male and female employees.

She added that retirement is a new stage of giving that differs from non-retirement as it is characterized by expertise, guidance, and counseling. The first thing that guarantees the usefulness of the time after retirement is good intentions and advance planning for this stage. She expressed her happiness in honoring her professional colleagues who dedicated their whole lives to fulfilling the noblest mission, stressing that they worked diligently with their full mental and physical energy to serve this noble scientific institution.

"The university has opened up new horizons for the male and female retirees by informing them of all the services available to them through the Public Pension Agency," she said.

During the honoring ceremony, the retired females expressed their sincere desire to continue offering their expertise to the community in all civil institutions. They referred to the importance of rearranging things in line with this new stage to help them continue offering their expertise and advice.

The Vice Dean of Faculty Member and Employee Affairs, Dr. Khuloud Abulnaja, said retirement is a new stage for retirees to complete what they have started, stressing that work doesn't stop and has nothing to do with the place and time. She said the retirement stage is bright and full of motivation to continue providing the best.

In turn, the representative of the Public Pension Agency, Ms. Alaa Sindi, reviewed the main services of the agency and the benefits provided for the retirees, in addition to the regulations, how to calculate the salary, how to benefit from the agency's electronic website, and the other services including the issuance of the retirement card and the housing program.
