Makkah Community College signed a cooperation agreement with the Saudi Society for Quality (SSQ) at the UQU headquarters, in the presence of the vice deans, the Director of Public Relations, and Dr. Hussein Al-Sheikhi, the Quality Supervisor at the ​​General Department of Education in Makkah Al Mukarramah Region​ and a SSQ board member.

The agreement, signed by His Excellency Dr. Essam Bazar`ah, the Dean of the Makkah Community College, and Dr. Khalid Al-Akwa`, the Chairman of SSQ Board of Directors, aims at establishing the value of quality, with regard to knowledge, application and production, in the traditional extracurricular vocational university academic programs.

The agreement included the provision of specialized academic programs in the health, administrative, industrial, educational, security and safety fields to meet the needs of the labor market by organizing short courses and academic programs that generally do not exceed three months. These courses are designed to qualify young male and female employees, improve their productivity according to the applicable quality standards, graduate male and female competencies able to contribute to the Saudization of jobs, and improve professional outputs in various fields of work.

The cooperation agreement aims to organize an executive diploma in the different branches of quality, and seek to define the standards of quality according to a scientific frame of reference. This is following in the footsteps of the College of Business Administration in this regard. The program comes in accordance with the Saudi Vision 2030 and the objectives of the National Transformation Plan 2020, which revolve mainly around services and improvement of production. The two colleges sought to adopt quality as a scientific, cultural and practical objective to restore the role of its practices and applications as a norm in the Saudi community.

On his part, His Excellency the Dean of the College thanked the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah Bafail, and the Chairman of the SSQ, Dr. Fahd Bejaidi, for their care and efforts towards achieving this cooperation and realizing it to serve the Saudi community.
