The Secretariat of the Academic Council is pleased to announce to the academic staff the approval of His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University of their promotions included in the fifteenth session of the Academic Council for the academic year 1439/1440 A.H. The secretariat members wish newly appointed academic staff more success in the field of scientific research, and supplicate Allah to encompass them with His care and support for them to achieve what they hope for and accomplish their goals.

Names of the academic staff members and their promotions:

1. Promotion of Dr. Firas bin Sultan Ibrahim Al-Izzah, an associate professor at the Department of Clinical Nutrition, College of Applied Medical Sciences, to professor.
2. Promotion of His Excellency Dr. Yusuf bin Ayid bin Daghloub Al-Utaibi, an assistant professor at the Department of Computer Sciences, Jamoum University College, to associate professor.
3. Promotion of His Excellency Dr. Sami bin Ali Isma`il Ghurain, an assistant professor at the Department of Environmental Engineering, College of Engineering in Al-Leith, to associate professor.
4. Promotion of Dr. Tahani bint Muhammad Aidah Bawazeer, an assistant professor at the Department of Chemistry, College of Applied Sciences, to associate professor.
5. Promotion of Dr. Rajaa bint Sayed Salih Al-Mihdar, an assistant professor at the Department of Islamic Education, College of Education, to associate professor.

Suitable recommendations for the topics included in the agenda of the aforementioned session were made.
