At his Ala’abidiah-based office, on Sunday, November 6th, 2016, Dr. Bakri ibn Ma’atuq A’asas, President of Umm al-Qura University, met the Makkah Civil Defense Director, Col. Ali bin Khadran al-Muntashri, and the Civil Defense Department’s staff. Present was the Dean of the Researches and Advisory Studies Institute, Dr. Ali Alsha’ari.
Dr. Assas kicked off the meeting welcoming the director and staff of the Makkah Civil Defense Department, and then they brought up the University’s scientific, educational and societal role. They similarly discussed reinforcing the relation between the University and Civil Defense General Directorate, represented by the Makkah Civil Defense Department, for serving the society and protecting its capabilities and its general and private gains. Also, they touched upon coupling between the practical experiences the University is filled with and the field experiences the Civil Defense Department’s officials possess, and having them join ranks in order to serve the Country’s interests and contribute to providing general safety and avoiding risks.
Within the same vein, the University President lauded the Civil Defense staff’s efforts and their national role in protecting and securing the general and private properties. He similarly wished them all success in conveying their national, human and societal message.
By the same token, Dr Ali Alsha’ari, the dean of the Researches and Advisory Studies Institute, presented an overview about the Risk Confrontation Training Center to be established at the University for preparing and training the youths on aspects of general safety.
For his part, brigadier Ali Almuntashri, the director of the Makkah Civil Defense Department, extended his sincere thanks and gratitude to the University President, Dr. Bakriibn Ma’atuq A’asas, for his constant interest and dedication to cooperating with the University and the governmental sectors in general, and the Makkah Civil Defense Department in particular, in a way that boosts the image of the county and its citizens.
The delegation of the Makkah Civil Defense Department included Brigadier Mohammed Mubark Alqurshi, Brigadier Khali Aljma’ai, Brigadier Mansour Alqurshi, Brigadier Mahdi Alfahmi and Brigadier Fahad Alnifia’ai.
