The Academic Council Secretariat is pleased to inform the academic staff of the approval of His Excellency the President of Umm Al-Qura University of their promotions included in the sixteenth session of the Scientific Council, for the academic year 1439/1440 A.H. The secretariat members wish newly appointed academic staff more success in the field of scientific research, and supplicate Allah to encompass them with His care and support to enable them to achieve what they hope for and accomplish their goals.

- Promotion of Dr. Hamidah bint Ubaid Waslullah Al-Subhi, associate professor at the Department of Information Science, College of Computer and Information Systems, to professor.
- Promotion of His Excellency Dr. Hatim bin Muhammad Muhammad Al-Tas, assistant professor at the Department of Chemistry, College of Applied Sciences, to associate professor.
- Promotion of Dr. Anwar bin Muhammad Al-Shaltuani, assistant professor at the Department of Shari`ah, College of Shari`ah and Islamic Studies, to associate professor.
